A quick trip to some new territory. A little to the east on two of the three Saranac Lakes. Started at the South Creek boat launch and headed out o to Middle Saranac. I had hope to head up to Weller Pond, this is considered part of the area that is 'reserved campsites', so I took the Bartlett Carry over to Upper Saranac and camped at the southern tip of the lake.
I had planned to go further north, but the wind and chop made me reconsider and stay at the south end. My campsite was the least of the designated sites (and also the only one free), but I don't take up much room and it was a pleasant, relaxing night.
