Thanksgiving

As we head out for Thanksgiving Break, we are ready to start installing ribs.  We have a new academic schule this year, and are making this a three-trimester course, so I'm unsure how we stack up against previous years in terms of speed, but I'm fairly sure we will have some more time for creating paddles and some other content.

Post-Parents' Weekend Getaway

A little day trip to the St. Regis, Saranac Lake area.  Spent the night in Tupper lake, and got on the water as the rain was ending. No one else around for most of the trip, though I saw a few other paddlers on Fish Creek.  

Started the loop clock-wise, as I hadn't done that before and because it would put the longest carry first, but where there was a boardwalk two years ago, the beavers had created a pond, and I had to paddle and hunt for the trail on the other side. There were a number of spots where beaver activity was evident.
